Patron: “Miss, could you help me? I don’t understand what is happening.”

Me: “What’s the problem?”

Facing the bed, standing at the foot, left hand side. I face my nightstand, left side, which is also towards the door to the bedroom. I was grocery shopping the other day, and I realized something I miss.

Buying condoms.

Most people would have seen this as a chore they were happy to be rid of, and granted, it's nice not to have to strangle my soldier with a balloon when I feel like being intimate with my smokin' hot wife, but there's another factor.

When you bring condoms up to the register, the cashier notices. Having worked as one before, I will clarify that they ALWAYS notice. And if it's a slow moving line, everyone standing next to the belt notices. (I was never one for trying to bury them under other purchases.) Your access to romance explosion time was a matter of public knowledge.

Just as little as two weeks ago he was still kicking asses and terrifying the youngsters.
